  203. It should also be a warning to politicians in democracies against insulting the populace, especially those they feel are not supportive of them. Many an election or leadersip position has been lost due to entitled politicians mouthing off. Hillary is probably the most notorious in recent history, but the likes of David Cameron and Therese May in the UK, or Malcolm Turnbull and BillShorten in Australia also treated voters with contempt or a sense of entitlement.

Courts all over the world have a tendency to be very precious about protecting their dignity and heritage, so will rarely investigate themselves, or the past decisions made by the courts or their members. The US has a particular problem with this, though the UK and Australia have too, and elected governments don't want investigations into their legal apparatus is they feel it reflects badly upon them, even if the current government had nothing to do with any past scandals.
