  1. It's still a weapon, just not regulated as a firearm. Local laws dealing with assault with a weapon will still apply.

  3.  @neonicplays  what you say is true. However the founders set up the system of government to expressly prevent pure majority rule, you would have to get a 3/4 of the states to agree to changed the Constitution. That will simply not happen. So we live with it.
