  1. So, they want to tie themselves to a currency that is essentially controlled by China. No one, no country with any sense would willingly tie themselves to China or any country that has essentaly 1 person rule. All issues aside, the USA has very stable currency controls, As a rule, respecting contracts and international laws even when they may be inconvenient.
