  2. i have complained about Apple Stores in Shanghai for illicit fees. I paid fees in HK for my computer abuse. Near San Francisco though same computer abuse or MacAbuse, i was to pay $100 & the repair took almost twice the time 1st suggested and i maintained my complaints.l it was sent to Texas vendor & though the charge could have been up to $1000. They replaced the innards & screen for "free". My older sister commented a few months ago, i would rather have services in a less minimum wage area than greater. As appreciation is better received. Folks [including employees] are snottier in well paid neighborhoods. Thanks for all the advice!

  3. only time i had "authorized repair" was adding RAM at Fry's twice Palo Alto 2009 & 2010 b/c Apple Store didn't do those things!
