  1. Unfortunately, present day 'intellectual soil' is barren. I admire your tenacity, and honest soul. ( I briefly met you recently at Manchester, from persecution to making hay) I rather think you missed out the most important factors YOUTH EDUCATION, and fostering debate. Yes, unfortunately, we have to start right back there, most ( not all ) of today's population haven't be taught HOW TO THINK or truly debate. The later, .... debate only leads to a mushy consensus of nothingness. Whilst I am not overtly religious, the ' fear of God ' kept many in line. It was like a set of clothes they unthinkingly put on, not truly understanding why, but it worked
