Killing the grid is one issue, ok electric cars are cool and all that, but as I see it when you buy one in 2020 you are just buying into more research, they aren't as efficient as they make out. It's down to two issues, the batteries are years of being as energy dense as they should be, and power generation at the ' other end' is not effective. Bird choppers or solar cells are expensive toys

@markplott4820 interesting ..... I will have to read up on some of points you make. Here in Britain we aren't so advanced ? with electric cars. As I see it ( not claiming to be an expert ) it's down to how ' efficiency ' is measured. Take internal combustion engines and power ratings SAE DIN KW etc all different. From battery to electric motor, yes high efficiency, but from start of production to finished product today's batteries are toxic to make, and not very energy dense. Then how are you going to charge the batteries ? We live in North Wales and the bird choppers ( wind turbines ) are a blot on the landscape, most times in moderate winds they ' park them up' for fear of them taking off! As for solar sells, way overpriced, and only really operate efficiently in ideal conditions . The we have power line transmission losses

@rhydianlewis2867 Solar panels are more efficient in cold BRIGHT conditions because the superconductor effect. There is a saying in Wales if you can see the mountains it's going to rain, if you can't it's raining. 😂 How many people do you know that sell solar panels to the public ? Lol most of the cost goes to the sales people
