There's a lot of videos about the holding ponds of cow and pig manure runoff, and how when it is too close to food manufacturing plants the foods become infected with ecoli and other nasty things. There's good scientific reasons we don't use offal water on above ground veg like lettuces etc. But i believe if watering the soil and letting it rest a season makes it safe to use.

  2. I'm sure watering your veg at planting and not eating it until several months later is fine, it's just using offal water then eating the veg a week later might not be good.

  4.  @MamaStyles  Here, too, giardia for a year and a half. After a gallbladder surgery and appendix, they finally figured it out. I almost died. I've never been so sick.
