@sssssnake222 So sunglasses rated to stop laser fire become standard issue.

@sssssnake222 See LG1 class glasses that protect from 200 nm to over 1000 nm wavelengths.

@sssssnake222 Every pair safety glasses covers an em frequency range. So what do you mean by "multi-spectrum"?

@algomez8563 There aren't really any laws prohibiting the ownership of very powerful lasers for civilians in the US. Just see styropyro's YouTube channel. He has lasers that put this to shame. Of course they require power supply and capacitor arrays that no human could readily carry. Could make some useful vehicle-mounted weaponry, though.

I doubt it's fake, because it's easy enough to make a weak burning IR laser like this. It looks like all of 5 watts. Styropyro does so much more powerful lasers that actually quickly discharge large capacitor arrays in quick bursts that is much more akin to a usable weapon than this nonsense.

What's being ridiculed here is that I can get online right now, order a 5W laser pointer, put it in a gun-like frame, wire it to a larger Li-Ion battery than it could store internally, and have the exact same thing as they have here. This is a joke. This is like trying to explain to me how impressive a graphing calculator is while I'm on my Intel i7-10700K/Nvidia 3080 desktop computer playing Doom Eternal.

@jackskellington8915 So sunglasses with laser protection become standard issue. In any case, invisible to human eyes isn't invisible to most any imaging technology whether night vision or simple cameras.

@sssssnake222 And what is this showing?

🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂 A shoulder-fired, 5-watt laser pointer. 🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂

You look at what styropyro does or hacksmith's functional recreation of Zendaya's particle cannon from Overwatch, and this is just comical by comparison.

To be fair, the closer the bulk of the weight is to the body, the more stable the weapon will be to aim.

Yet again, the governments of this world infringe on the natural rights of the people by removing their right to property.

The news is that they're swindling the Chinese government out of $10,000 per unit. lol
