  1. Quantum computers exist. D-Wave has made a few up to 512-qubits I believe. In an independent test that resulted in a published paper (I can't remember the title of it off hand, but with some savvy Google work, you should be able to find it); even when the D-Wave needed an interpreter, it was 30 times faster than your average desktop CPU at solving the algorithms. On native problems and some of the most complex, the D-wave was up to 30,000 times faster.
