  1. There's no spring. Just two pieces of plastic that slide back and forth. The forward motion comes from the fore hand pulling the gun forward. There are many ways to do this without a stock. You'd basically have to ban fingers.

  3. The way I see it, the Supreme Court has ruled that it is our natural right to have arms typical for infantry fit for combat and war. In that, the fact that we have such a limitation and an effective ban going forward on selective-fire weapons is illegal in itself. Bump stocks shouldn't even exist because we should already have selective-fire weapons readily available.
