  1. Your findings on #5 is inaccurate. Rifle bullets are still very lethal a fair distance through water -- when fired at range. These tests you're basing your information off of are rounds fired into water at muzzle velocity, which is not at all similar to how it will usually happen. #1 is partially accurate only. When firing subsonic ammunition, a gun can be almost completely silent, with the only notable sound being that of the action cycling (a quiet clack from the mechanisms).
