You'd lack in essential proteins and B12. It may not kill you based on your innate constitution, but you'll not be as healthy as if you ate a diet including products from both the plant and animal kingdom. Alternatively, there may be people out there evolutionarily predisposed to plant-only diets, such as with the Inuit and their meat-only diet (the show got the deal with the Inuit diet wrong).

Earthplayer, there are only two sources for vitamin B12: feces and meat. You may be getting B12 from mushrooms, but it's only because you're putting yourself at a high risk for E.coli. Nutrition from plant matter, including essential amino acids, are not readily bioavailable to humans. The proteins may be there, but the body can't readily break down the cell walls of plants to get to them. This is why creatures that only eat plant matter have insanely complex and long digestive systems.

Do you not understand how many cells are in a plant versus how much are actually being demolished by a blade in a blender? It's no better than just eating it, grinding it with your molars. Why don't you have a B12 deficiency? I don't know you, so why do you think I'd know? Of course you're just going to use that to infer support for your stance, but it's purely anecdotal. The fact of the matter is, no well-studied individual has gone from a balanced diet to veganism without losing performance. You see this in Olympians who choose to eat vegan, and then their performance slips. Carl Lewis is a popular favorite to bring up by vegans to try to make a point. However, he ate a balanced diet during his gold medal performances, and the first games that he participated at after changing to full veganism, his best medal was silver in the long jump. The actual evidence is stacked against veganism, and the only thing that keeps the fad alive is propaganda pushed by far-left environmental and animal groups like Earth First and PETA.

Mike Warren, calories are everything when it comes to maintaining weight. If you are not in caloric balance, you will either lose or gain weight. Your body can't store energy if there is no extra energy to store.

M W, 2500 calories of broccoli and 2500 calories of chocolate milkshake, as far as energy for the body, are the same thing. As far as other nutrients, they're very different. You have quite the burden of proof on you because your claims are against WHO and CDC research findings.
