I am an atheist in that I believe there's no god, and I'm agnostic in my knowledge that there is no god. It is the rational, unbiased, thinking man's stance. For instance, Benjamin Franklin here in my profile pic would be a theistic agnostic, since he most frequently, according to his letters and writings, prescribed deism. This means that he believed in a god, but did not claim to understand or have knowledge about such a god.

  15. The microorganisms live in the intestines. Without them, no B12. Without meat that has synthesized B12 in it already, no B12 either. The body needs either a symbiotic relationship with these bacteria or we need to ingest it already synthesized in another animal -- we do not produce it on our own.

So if you run a red light and kill someone, you're liable to get charged for negligent homicide. Almost all problems in this country stem from government infringement on natural rights.

I'm not sure where you're getting your science from, but from the journals I've read, there's no conclusive health benefits for eating a vegan diet over a standard diet that includes red meat, dairy and fish. It is noted that there are frequently found deficiencies for those nutrients I listed. That being said, the last 10 years haven't been kind to Dr. Graham. You're listening to a chiropractor like he's a nutritionist. He's a 60-year-old who looks like he's well in his 70s.

Hasn't anyone ever warned you against this logical fallacy? And, no, our bodies to not naturally produce B12 on their own. It comes from ingesting microorganisms commonly found in plant-eating animals. Vegetarians have a common deficiency in this per the study I actually cited. You haven't cited anything.

  27. Gun shows do indeed have background checks. What it comes down to is who you're buying from. If it's a dealer, which gun shows are rife with, then you will have a background check. That'd Federal law, and there's no way around that. If it's a private sale, then no background check is needed. It has nothing to do with gun shows.

  33. If the only thing you eat does NOT have B12, then unless you take a supplement or eat enriched food, you will NOT have B12 in your system. Plants do NOT have B12. Ergo, if you eat ONLY plants, you will NOT be taking in B12 and this will result in a B12 deficiency. I'm not looking for rationalizations for anything. You are. If your diet requires supplements and enrichment to be healthy (like a vegan diet), then your diet simply doesn't work. The human body cannot synthesize complete proteins from plant matter like, say, a cow can. So your long-chain n-3 fatty acids are going to be low as well as retinol, vitamin B-12, vitamin D (most notably in colder climates during winter months), calcium and zinc.

  46. There are a few known causes for B12 deficiency anemia. They include the inability of the digestive system to absorb the vitamin, you've had gastric bypass surgery or the like, Crohn's disease, parasites, etc. However, ruling out other causes and determining a diet of only vegetables, the issue of B12 deficiency anemia would be due to a simple lack of intake of the vitamin which results in lowered red blood cell production.

  48. I'm sorry, but this is a simple fact that plants do NOT have B12 in them unless enriched with it artificially. The only way you'd get ANY B12 from eating plants is by eating the dirt that comes up with the plants, and then you're getting the vitamin from the dirt, not the plant.
