Liberty is a well-armed sheep contesting the vote." The armaments of the sheep is the Bill of Rights. The right to voice dissent. The right to arms. The right to be protected from the government busting down your door whenever it feels like. The right to not have guards posted in your house to ensure you behave. The right to a fair trial. etc. etc. etc. If we removed the rights of someone anytime the majority feels they don't have that right, we'd be living in that tyranny that some people think is impossible in this day and age.
