And they say that the story about the American being underdogs in this battle is not true when YES, CONSIDERING THAT the Japanese are much more experienced in putting their planes in the air in a quick & decisive strike package is very true. The only other carrier battle that the US has fought was the Coral Sea & Enterprise & Hornet were absent from that battle.

  2. And it wasn't just the loss of the 4 carriers that crippled the Japanese it was the loss of experienced pilots, plane mechanics, & sailors experienced in getting planes armed & in the air.

  4. Oh but "No one saw it coming!" I don't understand why they keep saying that. That was how the German's beat France so quickly earlier in the war.

  5. Congratulations to the Polish people who finally took Mount Casino. All in all 80k people all totalled died trying to take such a heavily fortified mountain from German control. And instead of getting help from air power all we got was more dead & wounded. But yes in a way it was kinda sad that the soldier couldn't move on & enjoy the life he had left. But I do hope & pray that he now finds peace. How proud he must have felt with the final defeat of German forces at Mount Casino but at the same time losing so many that you know & care about shaping that victory into hollowness. They say revenge is a dish best served cold. But I believe that prayer to God & asking him to take vengeance in your stead is the better way. For the Lord above knows more ways to make thy enemies suffer than we can ever fathom. I had a neighbor introduce my brother to a guy that my brother bribed to kill my wife & I. Instead of trying to do something about it, I left the state, taking my wife out of harms way. And asked God to take my vengeance for me. Within a month, the neighbor got drunk and crashed his tiny truck into a deep ravine. The man being overweight had hit a tree and was stuck in his truck. Broken ribs caused punctured lungs and his lungs slowly filled with blood and he eventually drowned in his own blood. Now, there is no way I could have thought of & carried out a more suitable act of vengeance. There is more to the story but I need to end there cuz I got stuff I need to accomplish today.
