  1. I live in central, rural Japan, and it’s true — a lot of the bath houses have gotten some interesting amenities over the last 10 years or so. But nothing so cool as a DJ and craft beer on site…that sounds like a Tokyo thing. (I’m a bit jealous.) That said, we do have one local place that includes a ‘beer bath’ — you actually bathe in a mix of beer and hot spring water. (Seriously, if you don’t believe me I’ll be happy to post a link. 😂 🍻

  2.  @musicmonkey602  Yeah, I should have known. Well, you can look it up online. A search in Japanese works best: “美杉リゾート ビール風呂”. I’ve also video blogged the area a bit, if you’re interested. 🍻

  3.  @adventuresofanathan  Yeah, it’s pretty cool. That place isn’t really a ‘bath house’, but a hot spring resort. But like the bath houses the place has tried to reinvent itself to survive a tough tourist market. (I’m not sure if I’m allowed to post links here, but here goes…)

  4.  @rachelcookie321  Yes, I get around a bit. 😆 I guess I since I’ve lived in Japan a long time and feel that I understand the culture on a deep level, I feel this weird sense of obligation to jump into conversations about Japan share my point of view. It’s also, I admit, a way to get people to notice my own channel and check out my content…but I generally try to avoid stating that directly… 😅
