  1. Excellent list Chris. In the 20 years I’ve lived here in Japan, I have made good use of most of these on multiple occasions. One more to add, for those in the Nagoya sphere of influence, is Komeda Coffee. Well-loved by older Japanese, this Nagoya based establishment kind of a ‘coffee house’ themed family restaurant, serving not-that-tasty coffee BUT reasonably priced and tasty sandwiches and desserts. (I live in Mie-prefecture, and they’re everywhere.) Oh and the “Morning Set” is super cheap, and a good introduction to Nagoya breakfast culture. 🍞 🥚 ☕️
