  1. When American attacked Japan semiconductor industry then. Japan had not anything edge ,only making lower cost memory chip than American can do. But all IC chips are not memory ic. It is all ic types from memory to cpu ,analog ,digital ics, power ic. Out of memory chips, All ICs Japan has produced are licensed from US design. So it is very easy for American to stompt down Japan IC industries anytime.
