Sukhoi superjet100 are competion in market. But their opportunity appear to be narrow in western sphere. Surprisingly , the last fatal accident on it came from defected in avionics made by Europe suppliers, Its disrupted after the plane had been lighting strike.

@saltymonke3682 What type? Prior to this China had only prop plane. Everyone knows its natural for prop. plane to have louder and more vibrate than jet plane.

@saltymonke3682 If reliability is first parameter, I would go China prop rather than ATR !!! Why? Antonov-24 had solid record flight safety than the newer ATR, Although An-24 mostly flied in harsh condition in Soviet air route. ATR frequent fatal accident when it flew into winter zone area in north America caused many casualties. They had lacked of experience than Soviet engineers.

@saltymonke3682 I don't agree on you. Given that Pakistan deploy its JF17. They enjoy those result of cheaper plane also cheaper maintenance. And they are the cheapest deployment cost fighter today.

@peabase The late cause of Superjet crashed were from pilot landing the plane without any instruments. So air speed and sink rate went over its tollerate. But first cause came from defect avionic instruments that should have must withstand to lightning strike did not do in reality. And Russian said its from European suppliers.
