  1. Russia is very very different to South Africa. When you were sanction, Soviet was the top of another world polarity. And no one in the world had relationship with you excluding Israel. Russia has their friends outside western sphere. Foreign companies who left Russia , look in detail mostly they were in retails businesses, sell luxury goods , brands name etc. These kind of business don't bring much positive to Russia economy. Moreover , Aircraft businesses like Boeing and Airbus ruins down Russia aircraft industries. So in the long run these western businesses leave , will resurrect Russian domestic economic and make them more solid against outside influence.
