cmnndr What the heck are you talking about??? What's "negative pressure"? Inside the ISS = 1 atmosphere. Outside the ISS = 0 atmospheres. The difference is 1 atmosphere.
46
It was just an Earthbound copy of the ISS, so No problem.
8
Yes, you really wish that was true...
4
What "absurd physics"???
3
They just undock, start the engine to slow down and fall out of orbit. When the atmosphericdrag has slowed down the velocity enough, they deploy the parachute.
2
"Only" 2 Soyuz have failed and 4 cosmonauts died in them. Both during landing and that was decades ago.
2
So, you just twist any information, to fit your agenda. If it seems to agree with you, it's true. otherwise, it's false...

If you just bounce a laser on Moons surface, You get much fewer photons back, than if you have a corner cube reflector. Just compare the rear fender of a bicycle to the reflector on the fender. Also, you don't know if the few photons you get back have bounced on a mountaintop or the bottom of a crater or valley. So you can impossibly measure Moons drift outwards of about 3.8 centimetres (1.5 inches), a year, as observatories and universities around the world do, without the reflectors, which exact positions you know. The reflectors ARE there. There's no doubt.
2
Tyler Durden Yes, and we were so proud, to have reached the deepest part of the ocean, the Challenger deep in the Mariana Trench, in 1960, that it took over 50 years , to go there again...
2
That's not what I asked about. The Apollo program was "transparent", with hundreds of international journalists invited to watch everything up close. The media described who built every rocket stage, spacecraft module and the lunar rovers, for example. So, how could they keep the building, loading and launching unmanned secret? Any evidence at all?
2
I REALLY call BS! If you just bounce a laser on Moons surface, You get much fewer photons back, than if you have a corner cube reflector. Yes, they can go into the deepest part of the ocean. They have been there (the Challenger Deep in the Mariana Trench) twice and will do it again.
2
Josh broz But, it works inside a combustion chamber. Like a rocket engine, for example.
1
Josh Brz How have you managed to be so stupid? Of course rockets work in a vacuum. Try to think (if you are able to) on the molecular level.
1
Google "cornercube reflectors". They are not just "mirrors".
1
Nonsense. 1. It takes 1.3 seconds, not 1.6 seconds for light between Earth and Moon. 2. Since the laser beam is several kilometers in diameter, when it hits Moon and also when it comes back to Earth, the movement during 2.6 seconds is of no concern.
1
No, I say that the photons are scattered out, for example because they pass our atmosphere. Since we now the EXACT wavelength of all the photons we send, we can detect those, who return. That's the good thing with a laser: It can send photons of a very exact wavelength. And, we can calibrate the receivers to react only on that wavelength. Do you think all the scientists at observatories and universities around the world are idiots or lying to you? By the way: How do you think lasers, detecting distances down here on Earth work?...

France has placed reflectors on Moon???!!!??? Please tell me more about that. When? With what rockets? Where is that information to be found???
1
Michael D I know that Soviet and France worked together, but "Both Russia and France have placed reflectors on the moon robotically" sounds like France placed reflectors there, which they haven't, even if they made them. Then, we can also say that Sweden has launched satellites, even if they only were built in Sweden and placed in orbit by other countries.
1
On the other hand, there's not the slightest evidence, that USA placed their reflectors there by robots. No one has ever described any such robots, while there have been detailed descriptions of the manned landings available ever since the mid 60's .Even before they happened.
1
There were detailed explanations about how the landings would be accomplished, long before the first landing. You still haven't got the slightest evidence that the reflectors were landed by robots. You don't have a single description of such a robot, but you have detailed descriptions of the manned landing equipment and methods. Including photos, films and videos. You are just guessing wildly.
1
First, you have to get a space ship and a big rocket...
1
Most are hoax. Some are just ignorant.
1
@SedriqMiers That’s No intelligent argument, You know.
1
Tyler Durden Then, ask the politicians why they killed the Apollo program prematurely, after they had shown the Russians and the rest of the world, that they were second to none in space.
1
Then, tell us who built those robots, installed them in the rockets and controlled them in total secrecy.
1
The "Russians" (Soviet) kept everything totally secret, until they had launched the rockets. NASA, as I said, showed everything. I still have a lot of magazines and newspaper clips from those days, where everything is described in detail, in advance. There's not the slightest reason to suspect fake. If you think "crowdfunding" would be a good idea, why don't you start a movement to do that? If NASA did it, and showed you some new photos, you would just call them "FAKE!", so it's better that the "non-believers" send their own cameras there. I'm sure SpaceX will sell you a launch. Exactly what "original data" were lost? Have you even tried to find out what NASA themselves say about that?
1
"The rest of the world" is not some "armchair scientists" on Youtube. Try to read some books and technical magazines, dealing with space flight and written by real, international scientists and engineers. You can find them in libraries.
1
I'm a member of the same society; "Vetenskap och Foklbildning" (Science and education of the people) as the Swedish astronaut Christer Fuglesang. He is not a liar. Also, I understand what I read.
1
If you think that the astronauts do not know what is going on in NASA, something is terribly wrong... You are free to deny the moon landings, for whatever reason you think you have. I prefer to be educated about the space program, just as about whatever interests me. Have a good life!
1
You mean Richard Nixon? Because his administration "destroyed" the technology by stopping the funds to make more moon landings and putting the hardware in museums.
1
+paulanderson79 No, we can not "see" the laser light reflected by the cornercube reflectors. But, sensitive detectors can register the photons.
