  3. Stuart Hull We feel "gravitational acceleration" the whole time. As Einstein said, it's impossible to know the difference between acceleration and gravity. If you are confined in a windowless compartment, you can't say if you are staying steadily on Earth, or if you are accelerating at 1 G in space.
