@luminatrixfanfiction Yes, the Soviets had more powerfull rockets in the beginning and could launch heavier satellites and spaceprobes. But, beginning with the Gemini program, USA got Ahead!! With both mantime in space and with rendezvous and docknings. Then, Soviets N-1 moonrocket crashed in every testflight. So, USA reached Moon first and Soviet gave up the race. That is actually What happened.

@luminatrixfanfiction So, Why did Soviet give up the race to Moon after their N-1 rocket failed 4 times in a row? After all, they had already built and tested the LK Lunar Lander. And, if Soviet was ”light years ahead” of USA, Why was their N-1 smaller and weaker than the Saturn V? Why did they plan to land only one man on the Moon, while USA landed two? It is actually You who don’t understand the facts and the history of spaceflight.

@luminatrixfanfiction You have to look at Why the Soviets crashed their N-1 Moonrocket. They didn’t test one stage at a time, but built a complete rocket and launched it. A ”minor” problem with the first stage engines caused the whole rocket to disintegrate. Were You even alive during those times? I followed the rockets- and spaceprograms from the late 40’s on and saw every step. Soviet worked for propaganda, trying to be first with every space project. That’s Why they crammed 3 cosmonauts into a one man Vostok capsule and called it Voshkod. To beat USA:s 2 man Gemini, for example.

The only thing Soviet Was better than USA in at that time, was to build big rockets. And this video doesn’t say that USA made a lot of successful rocket launches, but only some failed attempts.
