Large and complex projects, but luckily you can inspect the source code if you are anxious about it. There are many happy people who have switched from C++ to Rust, and they all are not alphabet boys.

  2. Changing the license is the real problem here, not Rust. That is how corporations slowly transform the whole Linux project under a license that allows them to make use of YOUR decades of volunteer software freedom work to VIOLATE your freedom and privacy by spying on you and collecting data from you without disclosing how, when and why they are doing it. GPL forces them to disclose if they are doing that, MIT does not.
