It worked for the annexed regions. They've been fighting Kiev regime for the past 8 years.

10 days? Or was it 3 days? Seems the MSM can't seem to get it straight? And the whole point of the blitz was to get Zelensky to the negotiating table to avert a war. The only mistake Russia made was underestimating the West's thirst for war. The West's biggest mistake was misreading the Russian withdrawal as a sign of weakness. The Russian steamroller takes time to get started, but once it gets going, it's near impossible to stop.

@reddragonflyxx657 Well, given enough time, Russia will eventually exhaust Ukraine's air defense. So, time is definitely on Russia's side. Also, your term for “decimate” is incorrect. The historic term was when a military unit killed 1 in every 10 soldiers to punish the whole group. It was not the term we use today to describe massive losses.

@fluffymuffin9089 Seems the Russian air force is starting to pound now that Ukraine has exhausted it's anti-air.

You missed the fact that the annexed regions are pro-Russian and had been fighting the Kyiv regime for the past 8 years.

@81Heino that’s…not true at all. The Kiev regime had been attacking the Donbas since 2014. So you’re saying people fled back there the fight in a civil war?

@HFddHFddHFdd ah, the ole, “green men” theory. Is there evidence of this?

The blitz was a gamble to get Zelensky to the negotiating table and quickly avert a war. Unfortunately, for the world, the West stepped in and blocked it. And now, here we are. Now it is the West that underestimated Russia and thought it to be weak.

It didn't seem like the Russians lost that many troops, since they withdrew in good order? And what cache of weapons were taken? There was plenty of time to scuttle everything. And seeing as Ukraine and NATO are scouring the world for ammo and gear, it seems like not very much was taken?

@bikechainmic How do you know this?

The 10 day operation was to get Zelensky to the negotiating table, which succeeded. This is the 1 year anniversary of Putin's war with NATO.
