  2. Michael Schemmel you must really love kissing dogs if you’re spreading all this misinformation. Dog saliva is more alkaline than ours, meaning our saliva is more acidic than a dog. And while saliva does have some antibacterial properties, it is not an effective sterile environment. You can absolutely catch something from it, like parasites or dingleberries.

  3. After thousands of years of steering their evolution, we’ve bred out most of the aggression in dogs. If you want a proper guard dog, you have to train them in that way. Simply owning a German Shepherd doesn’t mean he’ll do anything when there’s trouble.
