From what I know, most of it is mined using renewables like hydro there. Also, what if it’s mined from Saudi Arabia? Or Mexico? Why should a miner be punished because of the government?

  26. You can’t reach green with the free market. Transitioning to green will be expensive and painful, though necessary. But the West is only doing half measures. Trying to go green but still profit from fossil fuels.

  33. The only option is to go completely green. If Germany cuts Russian gas, then it’s energy costs would skyrocket. It’s not like they had a choice to just quit cold turkey.
