More like 100th. These raids all end up in a lot of dead AFU.
55
NATO has never been in a real war where they don’t have air supremacy. It should be Ukrainians training NATO.
54
Yes, a bunch of clueless Russian conscripts somehow managed to defeat the AFU grand, Spring Offensive and conquer Avdiivka.
50
It’s impossible for these marines to accomplish anything without resupply, air cover, or heavy support. This is just Zelensky sacrificing more men for a PR talking point.
20
So is Ukraine still winning?
17
The US was playing up how formidable Iraq was because it was the US that armed and trained them. It would be awfully embarrassing if they admitted the Iraqis were actually in such a sorry state.
16
@robertwoodhouse-bm7kt oh yes, and the supposedly clueless dolts managed to conquer the most fortified position on the planet. It was an encirclement, not a withdrawal. The AFU was lucky of any of their guys disobeyed orders and retreated in time.
16
Then that makes the Ukraine Spring Offensive all that much more of a colossal failure.
14
@teddypicker6969 lol, you’re really trying to gaslight us on the failed Spring Offensive? A couple weeks, seriously? And all those smoldering Bradley’s and other Western gear tell a totally different story.
12
@sajuente8235 in this case, the marines have their backs against the river, so they can’t even evacuate.
11
NATO has no idea. They’ve never fought in a real war. It should be the AFU training NATO.
11
@BleedingSnow they are using shovels!
9
@economiccrisis9267 Air Force can give huge advantages, but it doesn’t win wars on its own. The West clowns on Russia for their slow grind, but that’s how you actually win wars. You don’t achieve it at arms length and clean hands.
8
@teddypicker6969 it was publicly marketed as the “Spring Offensive,” my dude. It’s not my fault Ukraine delayed it by a season. You ain’t gaslighting me, homie.
7
And low morale!
6
@BGraves well, you know what’s just as tough as a minefield? A river crossing.
5
Ukraine still has plenty of women and children in reserves!
5
Considering the level of seriousness the West has towards Ukraine, I’d say the music is apt.
5
@patrickkelly6691 sorry Trevor, but sniping targets from a distance and camping out in a green zone is not winning a war. It is an illusion of victory.
5
@economiccrisis9267 not really. Air Force can destabilize and soften targets, but you need a ground force to grind and occupy.
4
And Zaluzhny knew he did not have what he needed for the Offense, but he sent men to die anyway. He is a war criminal.
4
@MrTangolizard the US funded and trained the Iraqis to fight a proxy war with Iran before it turned on Saddam. Notice a pattern forming?
4
Krynky is an AFU meat grinder like Bakhmut, Robotyne, and Avdiivka. Heavy daily AFU losses for no clear objective.
4
NATO will not have air superiority in Russia, China, or Iran either. Will they be willing to suffer as the AFU/Russians have?
4
@teddypicker6969 I’m using the word correctly. I know reality and you’re trying to distort it.
4
@wubuck79 just ask those NAFO to prove you wrong and they disappear.
4
@andyhurrell what makes you say that?
4
@rh7018 Ukraine is a shrimp. They simply don’t have the long range missiles to strike deep in Russia, which is why they resort to drones. And every time they do, Russia retaliates punitively.
4
@kevindelaney1951 great, then you will be of great value to the AFU. When will you be going?
4
@patrickkelly6691 NATO can perform strikes from a distance against weaker opponents, but then what? You couldn’t even beat goat herders, in the end, Todd.
4
Because the Western MIC is profit-driven and not purpose-driven.
3
RAF should learn NATO will not have air superiority in a war with Russia either. Are the people of the West ready for trench wars of attrition? Observe the losses and determine if you want war or diplomacy.
3
@adrianlane4256 that was the critical mistake the NATO planners made for the Kherson counteroffensive. They assumed Russia did not make any changes since 2014, so they thought they could bum rush in and seize Kherson quickly. But Russia did change, and that’s why the counteroffensive had failed.
3
@adrianlane4256 none of us know anything about morale levels because there’s no way to measure it. Likewise, both sides have trouble with supply lines, which is just a part of war.
3
Which is proper defense. Terrible of Zelensky to keep sacrificing marines into a kill pocket.
3
Stepped on a Russian shovel.
3
It should also be noted, the Geneva conventions may not apply to mercenaries or volunteers. So if you get captured by the Russians, you’re on your own.
3
@patrickkelly6691 well, Billy, the US saw what the Soviets stepped in and decided to step in it themselves. And Putin is undefeated in his wars.
3
Russia will pay any cost to keep Crimea. A nuclear Holocaust will happen before they give it up. So what are you trying to accomplish?
3
It took half a year for the Russians to build the Surovikin Line. Good luck.
2
Did the UK train the attempted commando raid at the nuclear plant?
2
The rain is the same regardless if you’re Ukraine or Russian. But I’d imagine it benefits the defense more, since they are in a fortified position. And you can look at New Atlas channel where he explains NATO is basing their attack plans off outdated Russian btg formations from 2014.
2
Robin Hood what war are you watching? Artillery is Russia’s specialty doctrine.
2
@adrianlane4256 the Russians view the region as their land too. Why else do you think they are trying to hold a referendum there? Russia chose to pivot to the east and south because they are welcome there. Russia has spent the time it’s occupied Kherson stocking it up for the assault on Odessa. It is already well supplied and they just route their supplies through barges or pontoon bridges. They’ve already accounted that those bridges would be obvious targets. Meanwhile, the Ukrainians need to send their supply trucks through a killing field.
2
@adrianlane4256 there’s no evidence the Russians are cut off. Pontoon bridges and ferries can resupply across the river. The Ukrainians still have to trek through open fields that make them vulnerable to artillery and air strikes. And south Ukraine has always been sympathetic to Russia. Most either want to join Russia or have autonomy from Ukraine. Ever heard of the 2014 Odessa Massacre? Study the history of the region. Why do you think the EuroMaidan happened?
2
@atomic_bomba you will see Zelensky taking off in a helicopter with LV bags filled with cash. And Ukrainians chasing planes at the Kiev airport.
2
@Monkey-ud8bw Ukraine was in the USSR.
2
It means nothing. Those marines still have no air cover, and they have no heavy support or means to resupply. They will either surrender or die. What other option is there?
2
@rickjames18 what happened to Ukraine’s Air Force? Why is NATO afraid to send F-16s? Why is the US Navy afraid to get too close to impoverished Yemen?
2
@jjsmallpiece9234 Iran invested heavily into anti-air and anti-ship. The US will be in for a ride awakening, which is why they are so afraid to hit Iran directly.
