  1. If you watch this trick, it’s always performed with the balloon practically touching the glass. The trick relies on the needle barely piercing the glass (just the tip) or the glass shrapnel acting in a shotgun blast fashion to pop the balloon. It’s nearly impossible for the entire needle to pass straight through glass.
