  4. @Gianni there are plenty of videos on youtube on this subject. Many poor villagers have no other choice but to mine for gold for pennies. The broker then passes it up the chain. Meanwhile, their environment gets destroyed from the mining activity. It's easy to judge from your ivory tower, but a lot of these folks don't have much influence, and are just trying to feed their family.

  6. Gianni outside governments meddle all the time. They can find an opposition or cite civil unrest to destabilize someone that isn’t playing ball. It just depends on if that area is of any strategic importance.
