  3. This is end stage capitalism. Soon, everyone needs a day job and 3 side hustles just to pay rent. You will live only to work. When you turn real estate into a commodity/investment, this is the result. And yeah, Californians can flee to cheaper markets, which I’m sure Texas, Idaho, Oregon, Florida, etc will appreciate?

  9. Shelters are hellholes and are only a temporary “solution.” There does need to be big changes, but they are politically unpopular. Basically, you’d need hardcore socialism to fix it, and nobody wants to be the one to do it.
