  26.  @LeechofCrows  in an artillery push, you obliterate positions from a distance and do a slow creep forward while reinforcing your rear. By the time you have close combat, they’re already mopping you up. Tactical combat is mostly effective only for counter insurgency, something the West had wasted the past 20 years on.

  33.  @LeechofCrows  just look at Mariupol. The Ukrainians are in a defensive posture. They can’t get close to the Russian occupied areas due to artillery barrage. And by the time the Russian ground forces arrive, they’d be the ones storming the buildings, not the Ukrainians.
