Russia evacuated everyone in the grey zone months ago. Anyone there either stayed on their own will or were imported by the AFU PR team.

@wokeaf1337 as the guy said above, there’s no way those elderly could have survived on their own for so long. It would not be unusual for Zelensky’s Hollywood team to bring them in for the cameras.

@paulmitchell2468 then you admit yo speculation. You know there’s supply chains, right? And I’m sure most militaries carry ration kits to last a few days. Besides, the objective was to get Zelensky to the negotiating table, which was successful.

@kurtilein3 you forget that Russia strikes behind Ukrainian lines too, at a much greater capacity. So it’s not like the AFU has a net gain.

@kurtilein3 uh, Russia has a lot of precision weapons. Whatever the West has, the Russians have equivalent, if not better versions. And they are writing the book in drone warfare. Meanwhile, NATO has run out of shells and had to send cluster munitions to fill the gap.

@derekbaker3279 this isn’t what was advertised. The West fully expected another Kharkiv/Kherson style advance (when Russians were under-prepared). They have now run against the wall of a fully prepared Russian defense are don’t know what to do.
