  1. Franchise fatigue is absolutely not the culprit. MCU cranks out 2 a year, and they do exceptionally well. The problem is TLJ splintered the fan base, Solo is a movie that nobody asked for, there was production drama, poor marketing, and a trailer that came out way too late. The problem was basically everything besides franchise fatigue.
