  1. I hated how Luke didn’t train Rey AT ALL. He just spent the whole time being a crotchety, old man than was disillusioned by the Jedi. The Luke/Rey arc was a complete waste of time and potential.

  2. Well, JJ did have a plan, but Rian threw it out the window to make HIS movie. He unraveled every single setup JJ made. This is the problem when you go with the pass-the-baton approach. You can do that with the anthology movies, but the Trilogy needs 1 captain.

  3. What the studio heads (and even George Lucas) fail to realize, is that the original trilogy was essentially a galactic road movie. You had your core group stuck together in the millennium falcon most of the time, and that’s when you get character interaction and development. Lucas most likely did that because of budgetary constraints. When he had a bigger budget, the prequels lost that idea of tight-knit family. In the Disney trilogy, none of the core characters are together for any significant length of time. In TLJ, Rey and Finn didn’t see each other until the very end, and there has not been a scene with Poe and Rey yet. We are already 2 movies into the trilogy and 2 core characters haven’t even spoken to each other.

  4. The higher-ups at Disney need to put a muzzle on Rian and retire Kathleen. I don’t know why the Star Wars team is being so antagonistic to its own fan base. If you make enemies out of your fans, then who the hell is going to watch your movies and buy your merchandise?

  5. tunnocks exactly. The movie has so many flaws, I’m surprised more people didn’t notice the glaring edit mistake in the Phasma scene. Also Rey entering in the fray in the millennium falcon out of nowhere.

  8. Jayden C you need to stop clumping the bigoted fans with the other fans that have legitimize criticisms for TLJ. Also, their actions do not excuse Rian to do the same thing to Mike.
