  1. A friend of mine told me in his neighborhood, this LPO confronted a shoplifter, the shoplifter pulled a gun on the LPO who managed to disarm the shoplifter and got the shoplifter’s gun. The shoplifter dropped the stolen item and fled. The LPO was not only arrested, but fired…all for lawfully disarming a shoplifter and getting the item back. The charges were eventually dropped, cops confiscated the gun (with filed off serial number), but the LPO never got back his job. In fact the state is now threatening to revoke his Guard License.
