  2. I hear you there. Yet they still enjoy their paychecks, badges, gun privileges, and protection. How noble of them. If they really cared, they would turn in their badges and leave. Either move to and be a cop in a red jurisdiction, or get out of the game.

  3. I was raised upper class republican, but became disillusioned with the party over time. I would never be a democrat, but I don’t march to the drumbeat of the republicans anymore. Deserting my own is not the same as joining as one of theirs.

  4.  @shinobi-no-bueno  are you kidding me? A bodega owner in NYC was arrested for protecting himself from an armed robber in his shop. A CVS pharmacy armed guard was arrested and prosecuted in San Francisco after a shoplifter pulled a knife on him and that guard used his gun on him in self defense. I could go on.

  8. One would think a donut shop would be the last place to be robbed, as the Sturmabteilung in less fashionable uniforms, aka the police, would be there for the free donuts and coffee. But I guess the Oakland PD couldn’t care less. They’ll probably hide behind the threadbare excuses of “WeLl We CaN’T bE eVeRyWhErE aT oNcE!” or “It’S nOt OuR jOb To PrOtEcT pRiVaTe CiTiZeNs!”, yet they wouldn’t hesitate to arrest the owner of the shop for using a firearm in self defense. And yet they would still demand free donuts and coffee.
