CONSIDER THE FOLLOWING: He said that the cost of healthcare is too high in this country, soooooooooo........, Legalize international medical treatment, for example, US citizens being legally allowed to buy medicine from Canada. Or are these US Capitalists afraid of a free and fair market? It's a free and fair market that will help drive down high medical costs.

How exactly do we, individually and as a society of individuals, want to help take care of the young, old, ill and needy, if even at all?

CONSIDER THE FOLLOWING: "IF" the nation can mandate vaccinations here at home and for people leaving and arriving in this country, how is that not national health care? And "IF" the nation can mandate vaccinations, why not other components of health care? And "IF" the nation cannot mandate health care, 'then' how could the nation mandate vaccinations?

@reference2me With some exceptions, agreed. BUT, legally committing suicide is not legal everywhere, at least not here in the USA even, it is in some places here in the USA though, but why not all? "Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness" is supposed to apply to all Americans. Where I am at (Michigan, USA) it is not even legally allowed for terminally ill people who are suffering. Pets are allowed to be put to sleep if they are suffering but yet our fellow human beings make even terminally ill people who are suffering stay alive, basically no matter what. We treat animals better at times than we treat our own fellow human beings. For me it's just not right, especially being a long term terminally ill person who is suffering. And consider also, the 6th mass extinction event has already started upon this Earth due to natural reasons. Many people are going to horribly suffer and wish they were dead and would not be legally allowed to do so. Many will do it anyway legal or not, but why add the unnecessary guilt for those who choose to freely end their own life if they and they alone believe it would make them happy to do so?

CONSIDER THE FOLLOWING: Have a Medicare part "E" or such that is a VOLUNTARY health care plan that people could VOLUNTARILY join. If many sick people join the program, guess what? Premiums would be high just like in a regular insurance program. BUT, if many people get better in the system, guess what? Premiums could go down. How often does that occur in regular insurance programs? And the Federal, State, and Local governments, as well as other people and organizations, could VOLUNTARILY help fund a program to help pay the premiums for poor and needy people. The Medicare program for those who VOLUNTARILY join would be however that program is set up as to what it covers, which of course might even change over time.
