Speaking of national security threats:
President Trump is either:
a. Being blackmailed by Russia.
b. Is in cahoots with Russia.
c. Wants something really bad from Russia.
d. Has some sort of mental issue or issues.
e. One or more of the above and possibly even all of the above.
While any one of the above, and certainly all of the above, would be 'good' for Russia, it would be a very real and very serious national security threat to the United States of America and the American way of life. All of the national security teams should have President Trump and Russia in their scope. If one or more of the above items are found to be true, then the necessary action or actions should be taken as needed. President Trump is currently the most severe national security threat America currently has, or so I currently believe. I am sure many swore the same oath I did, to protect this nation from all enemies, foreign AND DOMESTIC. It's really sad when that potentially includes protection from the President of the United States of America and the potential national security threats he may pose to this very nation he leads.
And seriously, with all the Russian activity around Trump and those who are close to him, how exactly could there not be collusion going on???
President Trump is alienating our allies and emboldening our enemies, exactly opposite of what he should be doing if he truly wanted to make America great again, (of which also, America never stopped being great).

Consider the following:
a. North Korea gets rid of their nukes and has sanctions lifted off of them.
b. Russia and/or China are allowed to each have a military base or two in North Korea.
c. If any entity, including the USA, attacks North Korea, they would have to also deal with Russia and/or China.
d. North Korea gets protection from foreign invaders and a boost to their economy.
e. Russia and/or China get to expand their military presence in this world.
f. North Korea, Russia and/or China sit back and laugh at President Trump, and the rest of the free world.
g. I don't have to have nukes if my friends have nukes.
h. Trump's an idiot.
Tell President Trump to stop being an idiot. When he threatened North Korea with 'fire and fury like the world has never seen before' (of which the world has seen two atomic bombs dropped on two major cities of innocent civilians, so one could expect Trump's threat would be worse than that, and also, if Trump did so, he would probably be committing crimes against humanity), he may have very well pushed North Korea into the arms of Russia and/or China. President Trump's words and action might very well be INCREASING the capabilities of Russia and/or China. He's an idiot and never should have been President of these United States of America. And also, never let us forget, it was the Republican party and the Republican party alone that picked Trump out of the many candidates they had to pick from.
(And note, I am a political Independent in saying that too).

The way I currently perceive reality is that we appear to be individuals in a society of individuals. What is 'best' for an individual may or may not be what is 'best' for the larger society of individuals. And conversely, what is 'best' for the larger society of individuals may or may not be what is 'best' for an individual. But, as individuals in a society of individuals, we have to exist somehow, someway while we do all exist.
But now, for any given topic, who's 'best' comes out on top? If for an Individual, which Individual? All Individuals even? If for the larger society of Individuals, which larger society of Individuals? A certain group? A certain nation? A certain species? All conscious life on this Earth? All conscious life in existence? Which larger society? And who decides and by what authority do they and they alone get to decide? This Individual versus the larger society tension, and who decides and by what authority they and they alone get to decide, are the cause of much suffering and death in this world.
But then again, no matter what is chosen and for whom, it appears that we all will:
a. Still ALL eventually die one day from something.
b. Still ALL eventually will forget everything we ever knew and experienced.
c. Still ALL eventually will be forgotten one day in future eternity as if we never ever existed at all in the first place.
Or so the current analysis would seem to indicate. As I truly don't know what I don't know, I try to keep my mind open and will the first to admit that I could be wrong. But then some sort of actual evidence would have to be shown as to where my analysis is wrong.
But then still, how exactly do we, Individually and as a society Individuals, want to exist while we do exist? We do have choices, with all the consequences and ramifications, seen and unseen, of all those choices. Then we still apparently die, forget it all, and are forgotten.

Consider also:
I don't know what your life's circumstances all are, but you most probably didn't do everything you currently have, including the computer you are utilizing, the security you might currently have, or many other things that you might enjoy in this life. When Individuals work for common goals with other individuals, we all can benefit. While an Individual could certainly live off of Nature all entirely by them self, they would most probably experience a higher quality of life when they work with others.
Hence the old saying, 'all for one and one for all'. We as a society become united as one. But then, which 'one'? And who decides, and by what authority do they and they alone get to decide?
It appears to me that President Trump is alienating our allies and emboldening our enemies, exactly opposite to what I believe he should be doing if he truly wants to make America great again. Of which also, America never stopped being great in the first place.
But, if America, (or any nation), truly wants to be the 'shining city on the hill', then they should be a nation that other nations look up to and want to be more like, and even possibly become one with, not by force, but willingly. That would be true greatness. President Trump appears to be doing the exact opposite as he focuses his attention on our own Individual American nation at the expense of the larger society of nations. Or at least so it appears to me.
But then again, life itself is probably all ultimately meaningless anyway, regardless whose nation is great or not at this time. If they don't continue to survive beyond this Earth, solar system and possibly galaxy too, then they weren't great enough. They failed to consciously survive throughout all of future eternity.

Agreed, but then that goes back to:
We appear to individuals in a larger society of individuals. How exactly do we, individually and as a society of individuals, want to exist while we do all exist, even if this life is all we will ever know? We do have choices.
Consider also, utilizing modern science:
a. Modern science claims that energy cannot be created nor destroyed, it's one of the foundations of physics. This is either really true, or modern science is wrong.
b. Modern science claims that we have new cells that come into existence inside of our body on a daily basis. This appears to be really true.
Since I currently have a body with energy and cells in it:
A part of me is eternally existent and a part of me is being born anew on a daily basis.
My current body extends from eternity past until now.
Rising to a higher level of thought, the 'now' that I currently exist in is 'eternal'.
I am currently existing in the 'eternal now'.
I am currently an actual eternally consciously existent entity existing in the eternal now.
(And note, this would apply to you too, as long as you weren't an AI).

"IF" my latest TOE idea is really true, that what is called 'gravity' is actually a part of the currently recognized 'em' photon, (and I have a test to prove or disprove if this portion of the TOE idea is really true or not, just currently not the necessary resources to do so), 'then' everything in existence is made up of 'gem' photons and interacting 'gem' photons, even you, me, our consciousness', everything in existence in this universe and even the universe itself. Everything in existence is light and interacting light. "IF" true, then we just have to figure out how to keep the 'light of us' to stay coherent and functional to have literal immortality.
But then still, I would just become an immortal individual in a society of immortal individuals. The same tension between individuals and the larger society would still exist. How would we want to exist while we eternally existed? And who decides and by what authority do they and they alone get to decide? And throughout all of future eternity too. Maybe it's actually easier that we all just eventually die and go extinct and are forgotten.
