Once I found out that it is most probable that life itself is ultimately meaningless in the grand scheme of things, not much really gets me upset anymore. My comment was kind of facetious anyway. Plus, this is the internet, one has to have some pretty tough skin to be out here. I know Trump won't pull his own son-in-laws security clearance or tell him "he's fired". But it should still be done I believe. Anybody else I would have to believe would have been long gone by now based upon what has been revealed in the public forum so far. But then again, maybe Trump will eventually get impeached and Kushner will go to jail. One can dream.

  4. +chris mclaughlin They rent it??? :-) Personally, I believe the formal political party system should be done away with and ALL politicians should be Independents. Sure, they could still have informal groups around certain issues, but no more formal political parties. I believe we would have a better democracy that way as we try to perfect our governmental system. In addition, I believe non-profits should have to pay at least something on the money they take in. They receive the benefits of national security and the use of the USA's infrastructure, so why shouldn't they pay too? At least 1%? I don't believe that is asking too much. Then we wouldn't have to raise the "rent price" on the White House and we could have a better nation as well. I know these things will probably never happen because then the politicians would have to vote against their own self interests, and history shows they won't do that. But, I still believe they should be done.
