As neutrinos basically penetrate everything, and only occasionally hit something, what neutrino protection do quantum computers have? Will the data become corrupt over time?

Stuart Smith Yes, but we are talking about storing data at the quantum level. Any lengthy storage would have a higher probability of becoming corrupt over time, then the longer the time, the higher the probability of being corrupted. And I am not talking about short term "experiments" but actually long term "real life" usage. And by your definition it would literally be impossible to protect a quantum computer from neutrinos then in actual reality. Now, I agree that quantum computers can be utilized for analysis of data, but I also believe that the limitations of a quantum computer also have to be recognized.

Stuart Smith It would also then seem to me that a quantum computer could never be utilized for long term space journey's other than maybe to quickly analyze data. (At least at this time of human evolution).

Consider the following: Since the Earth's magnetic field is weakening and moving, (that all these quantum computers exist within), and the electron's spin position is dependent upon the magnetic field it resides in, what is going to happen to all the data in these quantum computers? (Earth's magnetic field currently projected to be at minimum around 2035).
