  1. Consider the following: The ONLY thing that will save any species on and from this Earth to exist beyond this Earth is a pro-active, successful space program. Space travel has gotten more expensive just in my life time. What is space travel going to cost in the next 100, 1000, 1 million years from now? Economic inflation might very well be a contributing factor to all life on and from this Earth dying and going extinct one day, and we did it to ourselves. Idiots.

  2. If most of the resources spent on war were spent on a pro-active space program, where would Earthling's be today? We may truly never know.

  3. Consider also: The Earth's magnetic field continues to weaken, currently projected to be at it's weakest around 2035. Plus the North magnetic pole is heading towards Siberia and the South Atlantic anomaly continues to grow in size as the Earth's magnetic poles are probably going to flip again, as has occurred numerous times already in Earth's history. Some say we are entering into the 6th mass extinction event. God does not actually exist except for as a concept alone, Aliens are not going to help us, and Nature does not care about us or our agendas. We are all "F'ed".

For a nation to truly be great on this Earth, they should be a nation that other nations look up to and want to be more like, and even if possible to become one with, not by force and/or out of fear, but willingly. That is true greatness. As a nation gets greater, that nation's currency should be able to buy more, not less.

  5. Consider also: GDP is 'new' items only. I would argue that a nation could have a very vibrant economy with 'used' items as well.
