HYDROGEN: Many nations are moving their nation to utilizing Hydrogen (the most abundant element in this universe) for their national economies for various reasons. Some of which are, energy independence, not having to spend their nation's blood and treasure fighting for and maintaining fossil fuels, and cleaner air. See my Twitter page under the same name as this comment to see just some of what some nations are doing with Hydrogen. Money to be made in the Hydrogen economy, even internationally, for those who know what they are doing. You snooze, you lose what might have been. Fully your own freewill choice. And also, the by-product of a Hydrogen fuel cell is basically pure water, and many nations need more pure water too. Hydrogen is not just the future, it's already here.

RC RC One thing is though, that like solar and wind, hydrogen can also be generated onsite without a grid being necessary. Sure, not for everybody, especially in cities, but certainly many can. And solar and wind energy can be stored as hydrogen for times when the Sun doesn't shine nor the wind blows. And companies like Shell, primarily a fossil fuel company, is also installing many Hydrogen filling stations in various nations. So basically, one could invest in Shell and get the 'best' of both worlds, fossil fuels and Hydrogen, 'hedging' the investment, Hydrogen of course not only being the future, but already here now in many places. (Disclaimer: I am not, nor have I ever, worked for Shell.)
