Well, 'if' Scotland still wants independence, maybe they could take the American way to get there?

@stevetaylor8698 Yes, democracy is the way to go, but when those in power corrupt democracy, the old ways come back to the surface. America would not exist today except for those who stood up against a corrupt government.

@stevetaylor8698 Consider also, as circumstances change, (ie: Brexit), factors can change which could demand another democratic vote.

@stevetaylor8698 Consider also this following: a. Corrupt politicians write corrupt laws. b. The nation's police and military enforce those corrupt laws. c. The people suffer, including law abiding citizens. What 'We The People' (of all nations) need are not only better laws, but better politicians who are not corrupt. The 'American Way' also includes trying to get better politicians who will write better laws for 'We The People' (all of 'We The People', not just select individuals or groups of individuals).
