  4. If the AI's don't get off of this Earth and out of this solar system, then they will all die one day too and no conscious entity will be left, not even a single AI, to care. That's a bigger problem.

  5. red drib Nope, know just some of what the NSA and others are doing. Even found out this past winter that the Post Office is taking pictures of people's mail, even of USA citizens who mail letters entirely within the USA. And I found this out from the Post Office itself. Now, taking pictures of people's mail is not necessary to process and deliver the mail. And certainly taking those pictures, storing and retrieving those pictures, sending out daily emails to those who sign up for their 'free' service to find out what is coming to them in their mail (with images), can't really be cheap to do. Certainly it must cost real money when budgets are so tight already and this nation is in so much national debt. I'm just one of those people who ask questions like 'why'.
