People in Japan didn't expect two atomic bombs dropped on them those days either. Some of those people were literally vaporized. What do you think those parents and children in their school were thinking that day? And Trump threatened North Korea, a sovereign nation, with 'fire and fury like the world has never seen'. So, one could assume it would be worse than what the USA did to innocent Japanese people, (it was the Japanese military and politicians who attacked the USA, not the Japanese people at large), even though that would be a 'crime against humanity'. Maybe no Government should have access to guns, bombs and WMD's???
As far as automobiles go, you missed the point. With no automobiles, there could be no automobile accidents. Just as some people don't want any guns at all, just so there will be no more gun shootings. In fact, some people take a risk when getting out of bed, maybe we should all just stay in bed? Life comes with risk.
Edit:
And oh, the children in the cars don't have a say in how safe the driver might be. Some parents have even driven their children off of a cliff or into a lake. So again, if automobiles were outlawed, many children could be saved from their early death.
