The USA could stand in line and potentially prosecute Trump after that. a. No Special Master needed, (the foreign nation prosecutes Trump based upon the top secret document mis-handled). b. The US and the US Government does not have to go through a trail of a former US President. c. Trump supporters would not really have a reason to go after the US Government. The US Government could simply say, "Hey, Trump violated that foreign nation's national security." d. Trust could be restored between the USA and the USA's allies as far as the USA being able to properly deal with classified information. e. Sends a message, nobody is above the law, not even a former US President. f. Restores America and this world "BT", Before Trump.
