NYT: Question: (Set-up): Judge Kavanaugh raises a question for me. Watching some of the hearing, it led me to believe that Kavanaugh was hiding behind the Constitution as far as nobody being able to utilize any sort of 'religious test' for his confirmation. This is how religious people infiltrate the government, to then pass laws, that then the police and even military at times are forced to enforce.
But now, since religions can get exemptions from secular laws, can secularists get exemptions from laws that religious people put in place? What's good for one should be good for the other. It's like if religions don't want abortions, fine, a carve out in the laws for 'non-secularists'. For everybody else, could have 'secularists' laws, in this specific case, possibly even abortion for any reason at any time.
And keep in mind, per even the Constitution, a baby in a mother's womb is not born yet and therefore is not an American citizen yet either entitled to the privileges and immunities that citizens have.
