  1. Once Facebook sends data to other outside parties, Facebook has no actual control of that data sent. It's kind of like 'if' Facebook and the NSA were in cahoots, ;-) , Facebook has absolutely no control of what the NSA would do with that data. The ONLY solution would seem to me that Facebook should not send any data to any outside parties, not even the NSA, if they are. Facebook would still make ad revenue just as YouTube does, show ads to customers, the ad suppliers pay YouTube for that privilege based upon how many ads were shown to how many customers. That should be the basic ad revenue stream for social media sites I currently believe. Anything further and they would be jeopardizing the privacy of their customers.
