So, with our spiral galaxy, is our solar system being pulled toward our galactic center faster and faster???

Amber Stuver But, we exist in a spiral galaxy, not like rings around Saturn. Why exactly is the galaxy spiral shaped? There must be a reason. And as modern science claims that matter attracts other matter due to the gravitational force attraction, then one it would seem be able to conclude that our solar system is being pulled inward toward our galactic center. So I guess, I agree to disagree with you.

Amber Stuver If you don't want to face actual reality, that's okay, I understand. But, even by your version, there would be more matter between the Earth and the center of the galaxy than there would be between the Earth and the outside of our galaxy, (unless you want to come up with excuses for that too). The Earth and our solar system would still be attracted to the area with the greater amount of matter, (which would be between the Earth and the center of the galaxy, including all the matter on the other side of the center also). What else you got?

Amber Stuver And I say with the greatest respect and pleasantness, I agree to disagree with you.

Amber Stuver And to disprove the shell theorem: You state that it states, "only the mass that is interior to the orbit of an object affects it". That would mean that the Moon's matter does not affect the Earth's matter as the Moon orbits the Earth. That goes counter to what science teaches that there is a gravitational attraction between matter. The Earth's matter affects the Moon and the Moon's matter affects the Earth. Gravity does not only work in one direction when two or more 'matters' are involved.
